Update 10th May 2020
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement at 7pm this evening, we would like to clarify how this affects your child.
From tomorrow, there are no changes to the pupils who can attend school – these are the children of critical workers (as outlined in government documentation which can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision). We also provide care for vulnerable pupils who staff at school have already been in contact with from the start of the partial closure.
Unless you have previously agreed a place in school, please do not attend tomorrow.
We are working hard to see how we can safely get some Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 pupils in from June 1st. We are also planning how Year 10 and Year 12 may see staff before the summer. Again, more clarity from the government is needed as it is essential that we do this in a way which protects our pupils, staff and all of our families.
When we get updated guidance from the government, we will be able to let you know if this situation changes.
Thank you for your understanding.
Mrs H. O’Neill Mr S. Eccles Mrs S. Smith

I am sure you are aware of the outbreak of coronavirus. There is currently no cause for concern at any of the schools in the trust, Christ the King Catholic Academy, St. Cuthbert’s Catholic Academy or St. Mary’s Catholic Academy.
You should not be unduly worried about the possibility of your children catching the Coronavirus. There is no reason why your child shouldn’t continue to attend nursery or school as normal. We know that some families are planning to travel during the school holidays, so please refer to the latest travel advice from the government.
As we take the health and safety of our pupils, staff and families seriously, we are sharing the latest guidance from Public Health England and outlining what we can do together to minimise the risks for our family of schools.
