Appointment of a new CEO

With Mr Tierney retiring at the end of December 2019, the Directors are delighted to announce the Mrs Helen O'Neill has been appointed at the CEO of the BEBCMAT. Mrs O'Neill will take up post in February and is very much looking forward to her new leadership role. When appointed she told the Directors that, she was "really looking forward to working closely with all staff, pupils and their families and to seeing each child develop their God-given talents and become the best they can be".
A qualified teacher she has a Masters degree in education leadership and extensive experience of teaching and leadership in a range of schools across the North West and Midlands areas.
She is currently one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI) working for Ofsted and was the national lead inspector for Ofsted’s curriculum research project. Mrs O'Neill has experienced working with a range of schools, including primary, secondary, special and independent.
Timetable for Christ The King & St. Cuthbert's Catholic Academies Appeals

On the 16th April 2019, Blackpool & Lancashire Local Authorities will inform parents of the primary school their child has been allocated to. Not all parents will necessarily receive their first choice of school. For September 2019, the full allocation of 30 pupil places has been made at Christ the King & St. Cuthbert’s Catholic Academies. If your child has not been allocated a place at Christ the King or St. Cuthbert’s and you would like to try to secure a place for them please follow the process below. We would strongly advise you not to reject the place at the school your child has been allocated until you hear the outcome of the Appeals process.

Not all parents will necessarily receive their first choice of school. For September 2019, the full allocation of 210 student places has been made at St. Mary’s Catholic Academy. If your child has not been allocated a place at St. Mary’s and you would like to try to secure a place for them please follow the process below. We would strongly advise you not to reject the place at the school your child has been allocated until you hear the outcome of the Appeals process.

Appointment of New Directors

The Trust is delighted to announce that the following Foundation Directors have been re-appointed, by the Bishop of Lancaster, to a further four year office: Barry Leyland (Chair of the Board), Paul Desborough (Vice Chair), Liz Boniface, Camilla Hardy, Mike Humphries, Liz Kelly and Sue Ridyard. These directors bring a wealth of experience and continued stability to the Board's work.
